Would I be able to pluck the suspension out of a VX (struts, springs, shocks, swaybars) and plug them straight into my VY??
Yes you are able to
While we're on the subject of interchanging suspensions, would anyone know if the front suspension components of
the VYII commodore are the same as the front suspension of the Monaro? This is of great importance to me as I live
in Ireland and getting suspension components from Australia is expensive, but if they're the same as the Monaro I can get these in the UK as the Monaro was sold there.
The front suspensions are all basically the same VT-VZ with the only change of consequence was the stabilizer mounting link which can easily be changed to suit which ever front end you use.
The K frames are different to suit what ever engine is fitted but the control arms, radius rods shocks and springs are all interchangeable.

I think you will find more difference between vy and vz than vy to vx. due to the different engines in the vz.
mate thats one clean wagon, nice mods.
