Exhaust Q V6 only

hey,
just wondering if anyone would know
if a vy series 2 exhaust would bolt on to a vy series 1 (from manifold or extractors)

from memory the whole system is slightly different as the series 2 had a twin cat system about a month or 2 after they went into production because of emissions laws for 2004 (i have a series 3 built in october 03 and its still has the series 1 system)

They changed in late 2004 due to Euro 4 compliance so early series 2 VY's were the same as series 1. If you are replacing everything from the engine or extractors, then yes, they are interchangeable. Cat back by itself is not.

what they said. look under your car, if you only have one Cat then you have the vy s1 exhaust even though you may have a s2 vy. i learnt this the hard way haha. my learning experience has left me with a brand new Lukey 2.5" Cat back exhaust to suit a s2 vy. if you are interested just let me know

cheers, I knew s2 had 2 cats and s1 had 1, and now I know they are interchangeable from headers,
now for my next Q, I have a series 1,
you guys will probably just say get an after market one,

but I can get a stock series 2 exhaust for next to nothing,
Does the S2 exhaust have better air flow, performance or fuel economy than a S1 exhaust ??
