Hey guys, I have a VY S2 Sv8 with some pesky light marks on my paint
And wondered if someone could tell me best product to use to remove them,
And then a good polish to follow so its only really polish that gets pesky marks.
Everyone has their own favourite solutions . I have always had success with this process.
1. Use a cleaner polish to prepare the surface after a thorough washing. You may need to do this a couple of times to get the result you want. I usually use Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner. Surface Prep | Meguiar's
I also use a similar paint cleaner product by "Mothers".
2. Once the first step is completed finish off with a couple of coats of a good quality wax. I have had good results with both Meguiars "Gold Class Wax" and the "Deep Crystal Wet Look". Polish & Protect | Meguiar's
I have found that Turtle also make some very good wax products which are easy to use. Their premium waxes will also give you a very good final result.
3. If you have marks that simply cannot be removed due to minor paint imperfections, Turtle also make a very good product that will cover these imperfections - Turtle "Colour Cure Plus". However, you will need to have a car with a paint colour that matches the product available as the polish is only available in 6 basic colours. (I have black vehicles and, with repeated applications, have had amazing results with this product in the black).
