VY ss dash

i recently baught a VY ss and have been having problams with the dash... where the odomiter reading is keeps going black...eveything still works and u can see the outline when u press power ect.. but u cant see anything.. i have had it fixed 3 times in the last 4 weeks... it will be fine for 2 or 3 days and then starts to dissapear again... has anyone had this problam before and does anyone know how to fix it...???? any help would be good.. cheers..

Hey, you say you had it fixed a few times - didn't they say what the problem was? If it was an auto electrician you should take it back and get them to fix it properly for free if they made you pay last time. I am not an electrician, but it has to be either an electrical fault/connection/wiring issue or maybe the LCD screen in the dash is faulty. If you can find out what they 'fixed' when it was repaired, it would probably make it easier to determine what the proper solution is.

mine did the same for a while but eventially went back to normal lol seemed to be worse on a hot day

cheers guys... ill be taking it bk tommozz. not sure who the caryard had do it.... but it keeps happening... and yeah seems to happen after it gets hot inside... but since i live in Cairns i cant see it getting cooler in a hurry... its still got the warrenty on it so it wont cost me to get it fixed but the yard i got it off isnt having much luck ... ill let yas know how i go tommozz... cheers... james....

Probably needs the solder reflowed on the LCD pins.
