OR
OPTION B

myself id take the ss cause of the ks and the interior, and its cheaper.
Dave lahood motors is a tad full of crap at times they advertise the cheaper cars and then you go there and they have suddenly sold it therefore you need to pay more for the ones they actualy have :/
Go to the auto group auctions get a better car for cheaper price.
I agree!! any of the lahood motors you need to be wary of, when they say high output V8 with mega Kilowatts are full of shit!Originally Posted by Jeffro74

I wish they stop saying in their titles that it's a VYII R8 clubsport then they say equipped, its just a ploy to suck you in, all it has is the bodykit, doesn't have the high output V8 nor the R8 brakes/interior. Don't wish to put you off buying mate, but I hate seeing ppl being ripped off/taken for a ride

the 'clubsport' is nothing more than a VY V8 executive with a body kit and will always be worth what a VY executive is. It really has nothing in common with a R8 other than it looks something similar. It is probably en ex cop chaser that has been flogged for 75,000 k's in 12 months and has been dressed up to sell.
Go the VY SS, so much a better car and will have a better resale IMO![]()
What he said. But in saying that I bought an ex chaser from this "mob" not 100% happy but it was not too bad for a VY V8 Exec.Originally Posted by I just want one
I agree they boast about POWER figures but line them up and there might be half a bonnet in it. Wow the clubbie produces 30 extra kilowatts at 300-400 rpm higher big woop! Just remember your power curve is pretty much driven off your torque curve, if you don't have that extra twisting force as revs rise well the car isn't goner go anywhere. (clubbie has minimal torque advantage over ss)
All a hsv has over the ss is a twin sports exhaust system and remapped ecu. In other words they've been short changing customers for an eternity without anyone opening up their eyes to the facts.![]()
That isn't a clubby. Like has been said previously its an exec with a clubby kit. I think nothing looks worse than a clubby kit with the stock lights front and back where you can instantly pick its a fake. If your going to put a clubby kit on a car, go the whole hog and make it hard to distinguish from the real thing.
Go the SS.
..::HSV Punk::..
I ended up getting the ss with the clubbie kit.
This is probably a silly question.....but can someone tell me the difference between a LS1 and GenIII?
The commodores are always quoted as GENIII, whereas the HSV are quoted as LS1?
The car I bought is an SS but it has LS1 on the plates. Is this normal?
Same thing dude, the GEN3 is a LS1.![]()
What did u end up paying for the lot eg car, and bodykit? Who did the body kit.
Paid $30k.
Got SS with clubsport kit.
hey just with the genIII and LS1 question, isnt one a chevy name and the other a holden name, i know they r the same thing, but being hsv i spose they want it to sound more like the chevy it came from, u know oooh chev power...
