Trip Computer Contrast

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post here but I have been reading here for a while and you all have saved me heaps of time an money.

My problem is that my trip computer display now appears blank unless you look at it from about a 10 degree angle then you can just make it out.

Is there anyway to adjust the contrast on this display or will I have to replace it?

I have tried to reset it to the default but this did not work.

The LCD needs to be resoldered to the cluster circuit board or replaced.

I was hoping i wouldn't have to open the dash but if I have to then so be it.
