Dear Just Commodores,

I'm looking at upgrading my VT S to a VY SS.

The car in question is a 4 speed auto and has 99,000km. Unmodified, its an 04 Series II.

The car looks and drives very clean. Its a dealer car. I'm just curious is there anything I should look out for? Whats a good price to pay for this model and age?

I was contemplating buying a BAII XR6t, but this VY is just mint, its in perfect condition and feels brand new, every XR6t i've looked at has been flogged.

The one question is what can I expect with fuel going from my VT S? My ecotec is an old motor with nearly 300,000km's on the clock. I don't really keep track of fuel but it wouldn't surprise me if I used 20L/100km around town in it, it never seems to go very far. Has anyone upgraded from the 6 to the 8 and noticed a huge shocking difference? Or will it be much the muchness!
