Thumbs down No More Gregory's Manuals

Ok I contacted Gregorys in regards to a VY shop manual.

This is the email they sent me,

Hello Snap,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately we do not produce a book that covers your requirements.
The Gregory's manuals are now produced (though we still print them) by a
company named Haynes, where they will be able to advise on future
editions or offer technical advice.

You can contact Haynes on 03 9763 8100 or visit their website at
www.haynes.com.au where they also have an online ordering facility.

Kind regards,

Sales

Great now there is no choice but to get the Holden genuine manual. Those Haynes ones are shocking.

Well that sucks because Haynes from my opinion didn't produce very good books. Gregory's were the best.
What are the Max Ellery's like?

I had hassles with Haynes manuals too - VERY sketchy in details, it sems they expect the readers to be gifted with some kind of "second sight".

It's a shame, 'coz the Gregory's manuals weren't too bad. I've heard good things about Ellery's, but never checked one out. (hanging out for their release of the VZ manual!)

Cheerz!

Biggest problem with the Ellery manual is losing track between model references, as they continually jump from VX to VY during removing and reassembly. Also lots of typo's but I can live with that.

Customer service was A1 when purchased through Ebay though - they offered to send via express post and allowed my mate to pick it up from their house somewhere in Frenches Forest.
