today i was driving my vy and coolant started pissing out everywhere from the side of the radiator, from where the plastic sides meet the metal part of the radiator. Just wondering if i am in need of a new radiator? i have included a picture of where the coolant is coming out (it is the drivers side of the radiator)
u can get the side pod replaced but for a little more would be better to get the whole radiator...
If you are replacing the rad get the cooling system flushed and the heater too.. Don't want old gunk in the new rad..
should it be flushed before the radiator is replaced?
As above. Put the old radiator in the bin and pop a new one in.
Flush and refill with 50/50 coolant/water and enjoy.

will do, thanks for the advice guys, greatly appreciated
When you take the old out take the thermostat cover off and the thermostat out and run the hose through the motor and leave the heater turned on.. Then put back together and refill with fresh new coolant
if your taking the thermostat off get a new gasket
thanks guys replaced the radiator and all hoses today first time, i had no problems. just wondering what is the total volume of the cooling system? ie how many litres of water + coolant total?
