Chev Badges
OK, I'm sure there must be a post on this already somewhere... but I couldn't find it in my searches.
So what is the deal with getting the Chev badges for both the back and the grill? I've seen a few around lately, and I reckon they look red hot. So who has got them here, and where can you get them from?
Cheers,
Mark.

I think its a laugh to see the chev badges fullstop.
So you have a chevy v8, but why does that mean you need a badge to prove it? a badge represents the make of the car, in which case Holden designed and built it. Your fooling no-one but yourself in "dressing up" your car by swapping the badges based on who built your engine.
Most of the plastic throughout the car is all manufactured in Asia so does that mean you are going to put Japanese stickers all over the car too?
I guess the v6 owners should break out the Buick badges?

What's wrong with having them on a 6? It's not there to convince people I've got a GenIII.. It's there because it looks good..
The blue really stands out on the black and it looks friggin awesome.. And it's my car..
I do what I want.. And you think what you want..

I think he means that its gotten to the point EVERYONE is doing it now and theres nothing "unique" about it anymore.
Its like: "Oh, there goes another Commodore......with another Chev badge on it..."

Wow... some interesting replies there. I haven't seen many at all around here in Perth, just the odd one or two. It's really just to look good and be a little different... just like people stick the Monaro brake lights on normal Commy's, put SS mags and grills on non-SS's etc - except at least it really is a Chevy. I've been wanting a 350 chev since I can remember, and since this is my first one I want everyone to know about it.

Who cares what badge you put on your car. I might go and put some Cadillac badges on my Berlina, I wouldn't care what anyone says since It looks good to me. It's all about personal preference, there's way too much hate on everyone these days, just let it slide ay.

It's got nothing to do with "hate" actually, its just a matter of opinion. And if everyone just ignored topics they felt they had something to contribute to then there would be no point in coming here!

Ive said it before and I'll say it again:
You want Monaro bits? Buy a Monaro.
You want SS bits? Buy an SS.
You want HSV bits? Buy a HSV.
If I was in charge at Holden, thats the way it would be. How else can you protect the more expensive models?
Again - this is just my opinion...

Yep, I do agree with that... but I've got a chevvy, why not put a badge on it to show it?
