Default Common (unknown) Seat Fault with VY - check yours

I have heard from a friend that Vy's have a comon fault where the seat frame comes through the side of the seat. If you look down where the hand brake is, you may see that the side of your seat is torn/ split. Sure enough when i had a look at mine it was there (very pissed) going to call holden on monday!

there is no way this could be wear, its down the side where the hand brake is. There is no way i would have ever had my body any where there if it wasnt for being told about it.

I posted the same comment on another forum and got the following reply......... so its worth kicking up a stink

Yes I had the same problem but on the opposite side
of the seat and I put it into Holden and they replaced the cover and all the
seat cushion no questions asked. I feel there is a problem which Holden are
keeping to themselves about. Good Luck

I just had mine for a service recently, and it actually had a faulty spring in the drivers seat would u believe it, holden fixed it under warranty but i only noticed anything when i looked at the service sheet it said the job had been done there ... i have no idea how that can fail but it did. Weird or what?! what do you reckon happened there?
