    Default VY Kits

Hey guys - just got my VYII Exec! Pretty happy with it, but this front bumper is going out the door - im thinking a s pack bumper to give me the SS look, but fits the existing headlights.

Havent been able to source any suppliers other than Holden - anyone got any links for VY kits? There has to be more out there than Capa and SSV.

    Thanks

Colour matching should be pretty simply with a VY as the paint would not have faded cause they are still so young? So you could just use the genuine paint without having to colour match and take into account fading like I had to with my VN.

1991_Vn2nV is right. Colour matching shouldn't be a drama at all. $980 is a little steep. You can buy a front bar on eBay for $150-200 (used), foglights for $100-150, and the switch for $30-65. You should be able to get it sanded, painted and installed for $200-300. You will need to get an auto electrician to extend some wiring to your foglights aswell, which will cost somewhere in the vicinity of $100. Worst case scenario, you might need to get some components shipped to you, so add $100-150. Unless the place that quoted you $980 is going to do supply, wire and paint everything - then I would do the leg work and save yourself some money...

I was under the impression that the SS bumper wouldnt fit with the standard Exec headlights due to the teardrop?? does anyone know of a supplier other than holden? or has anyone seen them around somewhere cheap ??

Every VY model "Commodore" has the tear drop in the headlights. Notable exceptions are the luxury models such as the Berlina and Calais, which have different head lights, and tail lights. The HSV's have different head lights - but have the same shaped tail lights. The teardrop was phased out in the VZ entirely, which might be what is throwing you off. The only difference between the SS head lights and the Exec headlights, is that the SS has a blackened background and projector lamps. The external shape is still the same.

In terms of referring you to some vendors - can't help you there. I have at least 40 online stores tagged on my PC, but it is not appropriate for me to list them. Spend an hour doing a search. Do image searches and look at their host site as well - I find that helps a heap.

depending where you are located but i find www.spoilershop.com.au to be well priced and good quality, you can always get dirt cheap kits, from all over the place, but the fit is shit, u dont want that...these guys do a full kit, painted and fitted for only $1500, the ss full kit is even cheaper
