Binnacles for my vy, what gauges??

Ok, have ordered my pod for the dash but am still unsure as to what brand of gauge to run.
I have used vdo quite a lot and the quality is good but i'm trying to find something to match in with the speedo etc.
Any suggestions??

I've never like VDO much, they always look cheap and nasty, even tho I'm sure they do a good job. buy a few hotrod and performance build-up mags, they've always got ad's with really flash lookin guages. no doubt they're more expensive too, but they're definatelly gonna me better quality, and will look a lot better in the pod.

VDO made all the guages for the VY/VZ Commodores. If you're looking for something different, look up Stewart Warner - I think their guages are awesome. I especially like their digital tacho with LED shifter lights built in...

You could ask your dealer, but eBay would probably be your best bet. You could pick up a pair for $350-400, including the loom. Alternatively, you could get the pod, guages and loom for around $600. I don't know how much they are from the dealer exactly, but I suspect they would be dearer. I just bought a kit on eBay - should have installed within the week. I'll post some pics when they're rockin away...

the mounts in that pic are they the same as the ones u buy from holden if not where would ya purchase those...

Ok, just picked up my pod from autobarn for $90.
Thanks vy acclaim, will pick up my stewart warner gauges tomorrow.
I'll also post pics when i'm done with the installation!

i purchased my pod on ebay, $80, n the gauges were $60 each

Phew!
Am almost done with the installation.
Had to pick up an adaptor for the oil pressure sender(thanks mark!) but have got most of the wiring done.
Just need to mount the gauges, will post pics soon!
