i have recently just bought a vy exec and would like to fit an ss kit (not spoiler)and i was told by the commodore shop that i need different taillights coz the ss ones are smaller is this correct.i got a price from my work (coz im a spraypainter)for $550 for the front bar rear bar and skirts.is that good new from holden.and does anyone know where i can get a thing to put in the dash when i rip the standard head unit out it needs to be double din though for my head deck and dvd player,but the whole in the dash is too big for them to go straight in.
choice idea. im lookin at the same kit without spoiler, im also chasin a price on the front bumper skirts and rear bumper, try autobarn or somthin or supercheap they'll have you double din replacement inserts
yep.. i am in the hunt for ss kit for my acclaim. anyone around melbourne who can do a decent job for this, though i would probably just prefer the front bar with ss grill
You should find for the VY series, Exec, S, SS all had the same (smaller) tail light size. Berlina and Calais were larger and will not interchange. I am not sure about the Acclaim although I think is it an up-spec Exec so it should also have the smaller lights.
I am 99% sure of the above although I noticed a friend's VZ Acclaim had the larger tail lights so either the Acclaim did have larger size or they may have standardized the tali lights for the VZ?
I have VZSS Tail lights in my VYII Acclaim. Fit's like a glove - wiring harness not a perfect match though. As for the 2DIN Headunit - if it is a singular 2DIN unit, and not the seperate player and screen setup, then you're out of luck. They don't make facia plates for those. I'm getting a custom facia made up at Strathfield - should be fitted in a week or so. Will post pics when done if that is what you were referring to...

i need the facia with the two single ones for my head unit and dvd player< the screen is seperate it will go on the roof.so do they sell them ones or will i need to go to strathfield also.....

Strathfield will probably sell them - can't say I have looked before. If not, then have a look at this.
