i just wanted to know if anyone has replaced the original vy cd player with a standard size mp3 player..im worried to think what it would look like with a smaller cd player in it..ive been told to fill the hole with a navigation system..but i thought someone may have a cheaper way that looks good..i think it should be a standard thing in the new cars these days to have an mp3 player in them...my husband has a holden rodeo the same age as my commodore and his standard cd player plays mp3s...go figure

I thought that the Mazda tray was only for the VT and VX? Because the VY has a much bigger HU than the VT and VX. Its bigger than a double-din, anyway.

Vy's don't have Eurovox, they have Blaupunkt, and they are larger than double Din. Just thought you'd like to know

Dont know how or if it would work in a VY but have seen a few VT-VX's with two gadges placed there using a single din unit.
Cheers

What model Mazda for the VX?

I went to a place that quoted $50 for a pocket underneath my VX.

Blown VS Calais !!
Pocketsare available from Mazda parts , the first part of the code is B02A....... cant remember the rest.
pretty common though , they are out of Astinas if that helps.

VY/VZ are alot different to VT/VX , you wont be able fit a single din deck and have it look tidy with JUST a pocket.

Aerpro have however just released a multi fit kit.

I have not fitted 1 yet but they are on order and I have 2 cars to do.
Will post pics once it is done.
