Default Car wont start

Hi guys.

Have a VY Berlina 3.8 Auto.

Went to start the car today, and it will not even turn over - starter does not even click. The Dash diagnostic comes up with ABS fault code.

Drove the car around yesterday with no problems at all. Car hasn't had any starting problems before.

Could it be a flat battery, or is the ECU not starting the car - due to the ABS fault that it has detected.

I might try and reset the battery, and trying jump starting it tomorrow.

Any other ideas ?

Cheers
Matty K

Sounds more electrical than a battery but i have no idea. Would the dash diagnostic work if the battery were dead?

you shouldnt jump start any car with a computer in it. the smallest voltage spike can really do some damage. but if you have to connect the negative of the jumper lead to the motor not the battery
