help paint eng. cover

attempting to paint my engine cover on my vy s pack i purchaced a good quality heat proof paint. which contains ceramic for heat distribution.
the paint orange peeled straight away.

do i need to use plastic primer or etch primer or wot.

did yiu rub the shine off before painting it?
You dont need heat proof paint i have normal automotive 2 pack on my cover its fine.
Take it to a spraypainter get it done right the first time

Yep, I'd say you need to rub it back first and also use some kind of plastic primer...

i did rub it back but not alot.
