omg, that is a very nice car for you on your p plates. nice work on a great car, but about the restrictions with p plater laws - you cant help that much, all of us are feeling your pain.

i just started my 3rd year in my apprenticeship doing shopfitting. i do fairly big hours so that how i can afford to buy my ute
One of my uncles is a shop fitter. Has a nice BMW and looking for a beach house atm. Point being, its a good trade to be in
Great ute, love the Calais chrome mould, really sets it off, especially on the black. Well done!
But wait... There's more!!
But that's not all!!!

very nice. looks very similar to mine... have a look at my ute (link in my sig) and let me know what you think![]()
Love the Ute and the Bikes.![]()
drool, nice ride. please dont polute it with chev badges tho.
sweet first car tho
nar only reason whythe chev badge is on the back is cause i think it looks neater then the holden badge and im not trying to flog it off as being a v8. i would rather have a 6 that will keep close to a v8 then say its one and get the **** beaten out of me off the lights by a real chev..
good to see the 6spd im stuck with only 4 spd
go for a nice exhaust and tune you will get some power out of it - they are not really engine mods so you could get away with it
when i first picked up my calais (18 red ps and ls1) people were giving me the whole "did you parents buy that" - so did your parents buy the ute?
you should pick up the lower bumper grill, gives it a much cleaner look and it keeps the bugs out
enjoy it!
no, i bought it myself and that was the condition of getting it was that my parents werent going to give me a cent. i have busted my balls as far as work is concerned to get this ute. the only thing i used my parents for was insurance cause i got it under their name as i have lost my lisence once b4 and was quoted 4k so now its fully insured with my mum and me as 2nd driver and only cost $1040.
i would love to get an engine edit but wouldnt have a clue where abouts in campbelltown or western syd where they do the alloytech engines and would love to get an exhaust but i dont want one with a crap drone. wanna hear it under acceleration.
cheers
very nice ride, the 19"s will look good, be sure to update soon.
it rides low
ps: what's the deal with the chev badges? is the engine a chev or something .... confused.
i like that, thats thes same as what i did![]()
with the edit i know its harder to find places that touch the alloytech, i can ask the guy who im getting to sort out my tune whats around for you, possibly aftermarket ecu im not sure, the only tuner ive had experience with in campbelltown is a wank so i cant help you there,
with the exhaust do some research and you find something good, i was asking anybody what setup they used and i have a nice exhaust thats good enough for me at the moment
except for the empty space at the front, it looks tough as
new update.
bought a brand new genuine hard lid for my ute for 1150 in box and getting it sometime this coming friday.
should be good
no i found the manufacturer that has the holden contract their hard tops to make so i got it before holden puts all there mark up on so its pretty much genuine except i skipped the middle man (holden) bugger paying 2k
sounds the goods mate. if your pretty handy then you will be able to install it yourself pretty easy and self explanatory instructions
Hi,
I'm very new to Commodores - in fact I'll get mine in approx. 2 weeks - cant wait!! (Couldn't get the smile off my face when I test drove it.)
The first thing I'll be doing is loading the bikes and heading bush - I'd appreciate any input you might have as to the best way/how to secure the tailgate (cos the bikes wont fit) - we used to tow a trailer with my prev AWD.
Advice appreciated.
Cheers.
the second picture makes the car look like its on bags!!
