Quick question, shroud on, or off. If off, why? (Other than to look nicer ;) )

aparantly they reduce engine noise, but trap heat.
all debatable, imo they do sfa, i leave mine on, but if u take them off
you can get to your engine faster, bleed air etc quicker from coolant

leave mine off the temp guage in the car says its running cooler, but havent noticed any difference in sound as mentioned or performance for that matter.

mines off
good to get to things and see things b4 they **** them selves
i saw a oil leak starting and got it fixed
with it on i wouldnt have been able to see leak till to late
no extra noise here
and cooler

Itook the turtle shell off and put the vz 2 peice covers on, the engine bay still looks neat and you don't trap as much heat as the old cover.:thumbsup:

Thanks for the tip kave, but im running a S/C 6, not an 8. :)

Decided against it at the moment, because the brackets that hold it on, have 2 loop's that slip over the bolt's on the snout (of the SC), and I dont want to risk damaging/loosing the gasket between the snout and the body.
No biggie. :)

On Daron's info though, I will be checking under it once a fortnight to make sure that every thing is still running tickety-boo.

mine is on, no major problems arising because of it, comes off from time to time for a check up but its staying on
