VY, VZ Car Mats

Hey there all,

I hope I don't get in trouble with the forum gods (moderators) for doing this but here goes...

I don't normally do this but this time I am extra impressed with this purchase I made on EBay a few days ago.

I had been hunting for a good set of car mats for my VY Wagon for a while now. I had a few choices, Holden mats at $125.00, HSV mats at $115.00 (Ebay), and then the mats you can pick up at Super Cheap, Repco, Auto Barn etc, etc.

Oh I am in Far North Queensland so choice is a bit limited.

The best set in the shops I found were from Autobarn, shaped to fit and said they even had a Commodore label, for $99 you would hope so. Pulled them out of the rack and they were not up to much chop as far as car mats went and then said Classic on them? Like come on how does Classic have any thing to do with Commodore. Any way they went back on the rack and I was back to the drawing board.

I was not going to pay the inflated Holden price for some carpet and having HSV ones, sorry to say I am a firm believer of not labeling my self up and the day I have an HSV labeled product will be when I own a HSV plus they were still a bit pricey for just mats.

Well on EBay a company from WA came along selling mats to suit the Commodore.
Two for the front and one mat for the rear, goes right over the drive train channel, I know cool huh.

They had two types, one dark gray all over and another with a really bold silver boarder right around the mats.

$50 and freight free who could go wrong so paid my money via Pay Pay with a credit card, (very safe) and with in three days there were here all the way from WA so thumbs up on the fast free freight charge and I really had no idea what the mats would be like for only $50 so I did have my doubts.

Well very impressed, thick carpet, well cut shape, fits perfect, extra thick heel mat and fully non slip bottoms. Best I have seen for years, put it that way.

I am absolutely wrapped with them, hence the reason I am going on and on.

There is another couple of companies out there such as Tru-Fit Carpets...

I've had two sets in my VS and now my VY and they are fantastic!
