Hope it helps

I'm not familar with the VY radio but I know that some standard cd player have AVL (auto volume level) it changes with the speed of the car/and/or won't let you put it that loud that it could damage your hearing, its anoying, could be ya prob, but like I said just guessing dude, so don't get cut if I'm way off, Hope this helps out

arn't the vy's fitted with that special volume feature. the faster you go the quiter the stereo can go ....... not exactly sure, just get a aftermarket unit fitted or put in some decent set of splits.....

Can somebody tell me how to get in to turn them off? It's my gf's mums car and I vaguely remembered seeing this thread.

So if you's could pass it on...

Is it a stereo menu or a menu through the dash?

Its a menu through the dash, from memory, you turn on the car, so the computer turns on, and then go through that startup menu to find the ones on the audio.....Thats the way its done.
