Could be the slide rails, apparently there are little white bits that break easily. My passenger window does the same

I have a VZ ute & the drivers window creaks & rattles when right up. I have to put it up & down a couple of times before it stops.

I've had the dealer fix it 3 times, they smear grease along the top of the window & say they realigned it. I pick the car up from the dealer, try the window and it's still the same.

Where are these little white bits that easily break.

It will be the window slides, the white plastic sliding things, clip into the regulator and attaches to the glass. they often break.

Sound like the regulator .

New electric regutator is around $140.00 and takes about 1 hour to fit.

When fitting a new regulator avoid using pop rivets, instead tap the 4 holes in the reg with a 6 mm tap and secure the reg to the door frame with 4x 6mm bolts and nuts and loctite the dudes in.

I Have this annoying problem to. But its starting to get worse. Ive just installed a new regulator. Its not the white window slides, cause I have taken the door apart and checked since, plus they came with the reg assembly. It seems as if the window is winding up to tight. Mainly drivers door, but the passenger is starting to do it now to. You only have to let the windows down 5mm or so, then it seems a bit better... Has got me stumped.

I have had a problem with my drivers side window, making a loud scrape noise when you put it down the first inch. I think it maybe because of the drought and the dry weather that we have been having. Noise seems to come from the top window seal, probably dryed out.

Try spraying silicon spray in the window channel.
