Default opinion please on chrome grill bars!

i would like peoples opinions on these grill bars for sale on ebay. the picture shows the 6 piece but mine would be a 4 piece. thinking about getting a set for the Calais to make the front look really chromey!!!

More chrome the better I reckon!! Well.. with highlights anyways...

I really like it, but it would look better with the surround being chrome as well (the outside bit) Plus you'd still have that chrome lip on the bonnet I hope!!

Hmmmm, that's a lot of cash for a few bits of stick-on steel. I would experiment with chrome paint myself, readily available, fairly easy to apply, and it's gonna cost around the same that this guy is asking for postage. If you do choose this path though, I strongly recommend experimenting first, as this stuff does not allow for to many mistakes!

If you were to go with the Chrome paint option, where can you get the paint, or would you have to get it done professionally??
Im guessing chrome spray you get from Auto Barn or wherever would'nt be good enough?

I don't think chrome paint is a good idea, I mean if you look at it you can tell it is paint, and it would just look cheap. Attention to detail will make a car, and that means you have to spend money on quality things. Aston Martins don't look so good because of chrome paint. I say get the grill bars, they look good.

I agree, that why I said experiment. As for the Aston Martin comment, I bet there's arent stuck on with double sided tape either!

Got a 6-piece set for my VY S2 Exec grille a few months ago and I am really happy with them. They have strong double sided tape and once they are on they won't go anywhere. They look good matching with the rear Chrome boot strip on most VY's also.
