I find that my VY computer system is very accurate, some may say otherwise.

I always drive to the last drop and have never run out yet!!!

Default Recalibrate

Normally very good, but if you read your owners manual it clearly details how to keep track of consumption then reprogram display so it is accurate based on fuel vs km

Mine is definitely not accurate.

I'm yet to crack 400 k's. But I don't think my distance to empty is all that accurate. Had it down to 35 kilometres to empty yet it only took 50 litres.
Meh, couldn't be bothered adjusting it.

My Litres Used on my VY S/C Calais was out by 12Lts. I would fill 72Lt's at the servo and the display would say 84Lt's Used. And my Litres per 100 was around 17Lt's/100.
I then adjusted the Fuel Used Calibration Percentage down and refilled my car. Kept adjusting and Refueling until it was pretty acurate. My Litres per 100 is now around 14/100 which makes me feel better. (I thought my car was guzzeling fuel).
I would adjust the calibration so that your Display Reading is a couple of litres above the actual Tank Fill. (Otherwise you may run out unexpectedly oneday).
To adjust: When you first turn the ignition on, it comes up with a "Options Menu" in the Dash Display which you can enter. You can then navigate through to the "Calibration" Menu and from there, adjust the Fuel Used Option.
I know this works on the Berlina/Calais Models but unsure of other models.

Hope this info helps.
