i have used shell eco 10W30 now using shell ultra 5W40 and next change i am going to use castrol sport5W30. you only have to do changes every
15thou in the vy thats y it has the larger sump. but i normally change mine about 7 or 8 just depends how dirty and how it is looking at the time as i think i am going to get a lot longer out of the shell ultra as it is staying very clean.

Yes, thats a must. I use Valvoline XLD Lo-vis 10w-30. Used to use Castrol Magnatec but have found this oil better on a modified engine. Change around every 7500kms. :)

Oil choice should be based around oil use. If you need to rev the car hard (as in into the redline a lot), then choose something like a good 10w60. However, for most around towners, were the oil barely gets time to heat up prior to the engine being shut off, look for a 10w40, or even 30 (such as vy terra). Most oils are much of a muchness, regardless of what people say, mainly because most oils come from the same parent company's.
