I have just completed the thermostat replacement on my sons supercharged V6 I was thinking it would be a 20 minute job, big mistake, 2 hours later all done. Armed with the parts thermostat & seal, thermo gasket, throttle body gasket & rear manifold gasket. I found that you don't have to remove the rear manifold as advised with the throttle body and the vacuum servo and rear cover bracket the housing is accessible the rear bolt with a short 10mm spanner, on refilling the coolant pay particular attention to bleeding from the three bleed screws the thermostat bleed screw is particularly difficult to access behind the vacuum servo so loosen before assembly. Not too difficult once you commit yourself to doing it.
I hope this has been helpful to some of you.

great stuff mate.
Mabye this should be moved to how to's section, may be handy.
Yeah I did a Thermostat Change on my VY S/C and it was a lot harder than I thought. The Ecotecs are so easy.
Took me a while to undo the Bolts (A slow gradual process), but eventually got there.
Gotta a cooler t/s and now she is great.
