    Default 'mode switch' removal

just picked up my 'new' VY (stoked) and the up (^) button does not work on the mode/set switch. Wondering about how best to remove it to see what the problem is. Has this happened to anyone else?
    cheers

From looking at it, it is a simle two clip design. On the sides of the switch, inside the dash itself is two clips. Problem is, I am not sure how much electrical lead is present, so im not sure if you will be able to pull enough through to disconnect the switch itself. IMHO, I would take the car back to the dealer you bought it from and tell them to replace it.

Remove instrument cluster trim and reach in behind to release the clips.......

checked it out on the weekend when putting in a new cd player and it was just a couple of release clips. was easy to get too with the facia apart, unsure if you could do it easily with it on, you might manage. maybe with a special tool??
