Hmm.. with that many km's, im sure you could find a vy exec for much cheaper... And if you want to spend around that much, you could get a vy exec with less kms on it.
I suggest you look around, look at private sales, and look at auctions (mainly ex company cars etc)
VY's are a very very nice car. Good luck![]()
But wait... There's more!!
But that's not all!!!

After a quick search, found a vy acclaim, with 120,000kms and they want $10,800..
Where abouts are you located?
But wait... There's more!!

any suggestions welcome.
the one that i was looking at was VY with 19" aloys, lowered, looks COOL but too many KMs![]()
are those KMs really a prob for that kind of a car?
Km's are not too much of a problem on commodores they can easly do 200000-300000+ kms it is just for that price you should be able to get something with lower milage than the one you were looking at.
I just got my S2 VY executive sedan with 53000kms for NZ$19000 and is still under factory warranty.
I disagree, km's are an important factor with commodores. Engine life on the good'ol buick is great, granted, but other aspects of the car go un-noticed, such as the diff, transmission, brake rotors and so on. Quite often in the case of commo's with a lot of kay's these areas are in DIRE need of servicing. It would seem that lots of kay's can also equal bad service history.
A classic eample of this is ex-fleet cars. Now, whilst it can be a bargian as such buying these types of cars, in the short run the repair and maintanince costs can become very overwhelming, and also annoying.
In most cases, a car with fewer km's has been looked after better than a car with too many km's for it's age.
im supposed to go on weekend to look at that white commodore you recommended.i found this one:

got mine for sale in melbourne though great car 10000 147000k's pm me for a more in depth chat
Check the prices on Redbook. $12,999 for 180K is too much IMHO.
I just traded my 2004 VY Excutive V6 Manual with 73K. I would expect that to appear on the second hand market for not much more than that price soon.
I would expect that a 180K 2003 VY at $12,999 would have lots of room to negotiate.
The price of new cars at the moment have dived as manufacturers/importers/dealers try to correct their stock inventory levels after the recent drop in sales. It should be expected that this would have a significant knock down effect on used vales as well.
Based on the new price that I negotiated for my MY09 SV6, I was prepared to take a bit of a hit on the trade in.
fekason u may notice this thread is over a year old
m8 u can get vz exec for around the 12k mark id say look around 12k for a vy is too much ive seen them go for around 9k with high km's
