Very easy but takes some paitence. I'll go take some photos now and get back to you as soon as i can. I also have a berlina and absolutely HATE the woodgrain look. Anyway, i'll get back to you ASAP.
Ok, here ya go. (6 Easy Steps to Follow)
Tools you will need:
Step 1: Take phillips head screwdriver and remove the console compartment rubber mat and remove screw.

Step 2: Open arm rest console and lever up center console facia with hand. (Do NOT use tools ase you will scratch/dent/damage plastic). Please note, you WILL hear a bad snap kind of sound when levering this. Don't panic like i did as this is normal. Trust me i have done this about 4 times to remove and install my stereo and VHF radio.
Step: 3: Lever centre console facia from rear towards the front.
Step 4: Remove power window power loom plug before remove centre console facia all the way off.
Step 5: (This step can be skipped) Remove 4 screws on corner of gear stick facia to allow a little extra movement for facia removal.
Step 6: Take flat head screwdrvier and lever off all 4 side clips holding gear stick facia on.
I have not taken mine all the way off as there was no more need for me to go any further. It is very straight forward from this point on.
Now when you put it all back together, make sure you do these exact steps but in reverse of course.
Job Complete.
Hope this has helped and saved you money of some random person doing it for you.
after all the steps outlined by exceler8r, you will need to remove the auto shifter as well. there is one torx screw (sorry cant remember the size) holding it in which is on the front of it about an inch from the top. after you take out the screw the shifter will just pull off.
once you remove your woodgrain piece you will notice that there are little holes all around the bottom of the auto shifter boot which locate on little studs that are on the understand of the woodgrain panel.
you will need to get the new panel and the auto shifter and locate all the holes on the studs and then slip it all on as one piece. jiggle the shifter handle around a little until it slips down into place properly and replace the one screw.
sorry i cant put up any photos as i dont have my camera here, if you have trouble understanding my ramblings let me know and ill try and get some photos for you![]()
matt.
Thanks for that, i haven't taken mine all the way off before but if i ever do, at least i'll know there's just that little bit more i need to do.
Cheers.

I replaced mine with the one out of the Berlina International wagon, its a greenish carbon fibre look, looks 100 times better. Can't remember what it cost exactly but it wasn't too much directly from Holden. It was great to get rid of the out of place wood grain....
