Default VZ Crewman Front bar on VY

I am looking at changing the front bumper and head lights on my S2 VY exec to ones from a VZ crewman that has been writen off due to having been rolled.

Would they fit with out having to do any mods or is this a job to put into the too hard basket. Thanks

    Yes, parts will fit.

You will need to get a "VZ" bonnet as well.
The "VY" bonnet will hit the top of the "VZ" headlights.
I know first hand of this as the angles are different.

Wiring is the same as well.
    Well mine was.

    So the 3 items-
    VZ Bonnet
    VZ Headlights
    VZ Front Bar

I'm pretty sure its just the headlights that are different because of the park lights. Smartbar make a poly bullbar that fits both and it sits under the headlights and right up to the bonnet. http://www.teampoly.com.au/Images/Pr...martbar/vy.jpg
I think it will bolt straight up if you cut a small recess to fit the parklight dip into the bumper.

He is changing the headlights and frontbar out.
From a VY to a VZ setup.

The pic I posted is a pic of my VY SS ute with a VZ headlight instead of a VY type.
The frontbar and bonnet are still the original VY if you have a look.

As before the 3 items must be changed out.

Agreed. The VZ bonnet has a bigger bulge in the middle than the VY bonnet.

Yep, I missed the bit about the headlights. They are a different angle hey. If the VY headlights are kept it should be a straight forward swap.

Yeah but then he'll have the VY teardrop headlight with no recess in the top of the bar for it...

if you look at the pic that aperfectcircle posted it looks as though it would be much too hard to change to a vz bar but keep the vy lights. not only is there the teardrop for the parker but the angle of the light closest to the grille is completely different. would mean a lot of cutting a messing around

I think that he is getting the head light as well.
But I could be wrong, he could mean the fog lights.
