clubsport bodykit on vy

hey guys i want to buy a vy commadore and get a vy clubsport bodykit to put on it with all the clubsport badges n lights! i basically want it to look as close to a real clubsport as possible since i cant buy a real one because i have only just got my p's and cant drive v8 so i was wondering if anyone new if it would make it any easier with a certain model (berlina, acclaim, executive etc.) and i was also wonderin if i can buy all the badges from the clubsport for my vy when i get one....oh and also the price of the bodykit and badges and lights will help aswell! thanx and hope to hear some comments soon to help me out.

i was quoted $2800 for the clubsport kit for my ute, includes the lights and all that.
but yeh, make sure your car only looks as good outside as it is on the inside, you wont get much respect driving a stock commodore around with a v6 with no mods.
im hoping the S/C thats going on my ute will earn me the right to a nice kit hahah

As far I know, to buy any genuine HSV items from a Holden dealer, you must supply them the with a VIN number from 'your' HSV.

thanx. yeah i was thinking it mite have been around that price just wasnt sure! if i do get the vy i do plan to do a few little things to the engine to get a bit more power and so it sounds a bit tougher but first i wanna get the bodykit on and mags then ill save up a bit more and find some things to do with the engine...did u put any badges on your vy? i wanna get the clubsport badges not the v8 badge cause its obviously not a v8 lol but i rekon it just seems like sumthings missin on the kit if it doesnt have the badges on it..well thats wat i think anyway! catcha later mate!

you say you wont put the v8 badge on because its obviously not a v8.. its obviously not a clubby either.

its your car and you can do whatever you want with it. i have nothing against replacing parts on stock cars with those from higher models (i have an ss spec interior in my acclaim). when it comes to badges however, like JD said, you'll just wind up looking like a fool.

how stupid would it be if i put some ford gt-p badges on my acclaim? extreme i know, but its along the same lines.

Sad, sad, sad! Trying to make your car look like something it's not is bad enough, but then to put the Clubby badges on will REALLY make you look like a tool.

Enthusiasts will always be able to tell it's a fake. Even non-enthusiasts will go "I beat one of those VY Clubbies off the lights the other day - man they're slow!" So you'll give HSV's a bad rep.

Why don't you get an aftermarket bodykit or save up and get a REAL Clubby!

You can get most body kits from ebay anywhere from 600-900 dollars.

I agree with what the majority has said here, get the body kit. Dont get the badges because a HSV bdage is a privledge you should get when you own a HSV not when you just slap a body kit on your car.

With that being said im getting a VX Clubsport kit, but ill be keeping all my current badges on it.

[The Windsurfing VY Wagon]

I saw a VT Acclaim SII wagon today (& I know because it had it's badge on the back).
White wagon with the black under and along the bottom of the car, VT SS mags and then....
One either side, VY/VZ SS badges on each door!

I had to pick my self up off the floor from laughing so hard.
I know that's a bit cruel from my point of view but com on kiddys, doing up the cars are great fun but putting different badges on them ain't.

ive seen a car with VY sharp edged SS badges on the sides, with a VT SS badge on the back AND grill.
hahah tougher exhaust on a v6, anyone can hear a 6 from an 8. my advice, and i owned a stock V6 (now s/c) is just grin and bear it and get an 8 as soon as you can.

in the end its your car mate but dont go stealing the badges, people who can afford these have goons that'll **** you up!

Maybe get some custom badges made up that'll look good and fill the gaps.

Why don't you go and buy a HBD Holden by Design badge and put it on the back if you want to make it look more like a top of the line Holden or HSV.

Peolpe know it's a standard Commodore but will think that the work done on it has been done by Holden themselves.
As long as the work is of proper standard of cause.

You can pick up the badges for about $30 to $40 from Ebay and you could put one on the back and if you wanted to get real crazy put one of each on the front of the side skirts as well.
You will get more respect from every one around.
