Default does this sound like the comman vy power steering shudder ?

hey people, just picked up my vy pretty wrapped with it apart from one flaw. i was kinda thinking it just needed a wheel aligment/balance and that the dealer kinda forgot to do it. (i rang straight after they said they would do it )

after beeing impatiant i took it and had a wheel aligment and balance done and im still getting a shake from the steering wheel at various speeds

basically the steering wheel shakes gently/quickly from left to right at the most around 40 - 60 kph sometimes it dosent do it other times it does and it can do it slightly around 100kph

so what im getting to is, i need this fixed under warranty so is this the power steering shudder everyone is talking about thats fixed by replacing the hoses ?

I think the power steering shudder was only experienced at full lock, and not speed dependent.

you have 3 months statutory warranty on it don't forget.

sounds like a bigger fault than the common low speed full lock problem..

yeah its another issue now though along with the shaky steering, transmission is leaking fluid from the front seal

29xxx k's and a clear RAC inspection i would of thought id have less problems in the first day of owning it but hey **** happens

I would check to make sure that your rims and tyres aren't out of shape had this issue in my cruiser.

if it is your rims and tyres that are indeed out of shape on the front you will get a vibration through the steering wheel. How ever if you put those rims on the back the vibration will change from the steering wheel to the entire car shaking.

couldent be stuffed swapping the wheels around it went back under warranty this morning, no word on the steering yet but the leak is a faulty transmission pump apparently

all fixed under warranty, replaced all 4 tyres to fix the shudder & trans leak was the housing that the front main seal is attached to, had a hole in it
