    Default "check cd error"

hi all, new to the forum, just wondering if anyone could help me out. I recently removed my H/U from my vy and when i put it back all was fine until i tried to play a cd. The check cd error came up, its never done this before and even if i use an original cd the same thing happens. Ive tried taking the H/U out again and putting it back in but it still happens. Any help what so ever would be greatly appreciated, thanks Richard

I had this one popup recently, I turned off the stereo and it wouldn't turn back on, eject the CD etc.

After reading around here I disconnected the negative for 30 seconds and popped it back on, been a few weeks since and it hasn't missed a beat.

Pity actually I was hoping it was stuffed so I could buy a new HU but no such luck.

If my previous readings were correct I think the CD player is stuffed, you may want to wait for other people's input but from memory when I read other threads when mine was playing up that was the last ditched effort basically.

And as explained above, it's probably stuffed.
Use this as an opportunity to get an aftermarket upgrade

Have you tired removing the negative lead on your battery? Ignore the 30 seconds rule, try for 5 minutes! Thats what fixed mine when it gobbled a CD of mine and wouldn't give it back and didn't even know it had one in it. But wouldn't let me put others in.
