Default New Mag wheel not fitting

    Hey there all,

Quick question, has any body had this problem before?

I was putitng on my new 19" wheels to day starting with the front.
The right hand was sweet and bolted right on and freely spun but the left hand is rubbing on the bottom of the strut tower.
Looking at both wheels etc it looks that the whole left hand hub etc is sitting much further in than the right.

Any ideas why this would be or how to fix it?
I have had to put my 18" back on for now so I look forward to any comments.

Sure are the Holden 19" Rims.

It's not the wheels as I have worked out but seems to be the whole hub etc is sitting in alot closer????

What sort of 18s are the ones you want to take of the car?

    Hey there Raptor,

Here is a pic of them for ya.

I have not really thought about what I want for them to tell you the truth but can work some thing out for sure.
What the story is there are two brand new wheels & tyres for the rear and the fronts are used but in exc condition with 75% tread left.
There is also one spare with 75% tread left but the wheel is dented due to a big rock passing under the wheel thanks to a truck spitting it out at me.

Since your just down the road freight would be easy.

BTW I would love one of your systems for my VY SII but, well, you know money, money, money but in saying that let me know if there is some thing you would like to work out, that I can't afford of cause.......

Are they a staggered set? You may have a little wider rears and that's maybe why one won't fit. It shouldn't be the hub if you didn't have any issues with your 18's. Is they profile the same on all the tires?

I think I might have a bent shock to tell you the truth but she still drives fine which is odd but I will get her in to Pedders for a look and see what they say.....

Check that your front strut is not bent. ( that is the cylinder that the shocky inser fits into). They usually bend just above where the stub assy is welded to it.
Also check that the lower control arm or radius rod is not slightly bent or stretched.
I would try swapping one of the other rims that fit onto it as well. maybe they accidently gave you one wheel with an incorrect offset?

Different offset front to back? I know some wheels come with a different offset on the back when compared to the front. Just an idea....

Ive nearley got the same problem, i got a gap no thicker than a $2 coin, I got told that the only way i am going to fix this is to get aftermarket strut tower.
