    Default removing5.7 engine

    i have a vyss ute shes smashed the motor and gear box is fine having trouble with the wiring while pullin the motor out im sure there is an easy way and a no way

    i got a vy im wreaking if u needparts to fix your vy airbags body panels etc

    have a look around the engine where the main wiring loom is, there should a couple of plugs that'll cover most of the wiring on the engine itself, failing that trace the loom back to the ecu and unplug it there and pull it back through the firewall

    im not 100% sure how the looms work on the ls1's cause i know more bout the alloytecs, but im assuming it'd be a similar layout

    It actually easier to disconnect the loom off the engine.You have to remove the crank angle sensor which is directly above the starter motor also.If your car is an auto then that makes it easier as you have to remove the starter to undo converter bolts.There is also a loom for the starter and alternator,this loom can stay on and be removed with the engine
