"Shift Up" Error message *HELP*

Hey guys when ever i put my foot down and get near full revs it makes this most annoying beeping sound known to man and says "shift up", this is in D. The guy i baught the car off had a HSV cluster installed, im woundering if that has anything to do with it.

might, cause don't the hsv's have a shift light function that comes up for when to shift gear? has it always come up at that same point? if so and thats the reason it might not have that wired into its loom as i'm pritty sure this feature can't be used unless its a hsv only.

it would be a integrated feature of the dash, has the dash been recalibrated to suit v6?

id say the v8s have a lower red line to the v6's hence why you get the change up gear warning

My Clubby does it. It's HSV's version of a shift light, and yes it can be annoying, especially when running down the 1/4.

Is there a way of turning it off?? im considering taking out the speaker its that annoying

it is programmable in the HSV Variant but dealers dont have acess to the software needed to do so, you may be able to find someone to do it for you if you ask around, i think from memory the warning points can be set as well.

Yeah, mine were removed completely after the tune. Although, i didnt even know about it until i was asked if i wanted it gone lol.

the setup fr it is actually in the dash programming, the tune probably just didnt turn on the output as they have no way of setting up the cluster correctly.
