Default new buyer auto or manual

    Hi all Commo ppl,

ive been looking at buying a Vyss ute and i cant deside on Manual or Auto.

ive driven a auto all my life but i would like a manual "BUT" maybe the Auto's are better?stronger?faster on the 1/4 mile? im not sure but id like to hear from some Vy owners.

Oh and i do have plans for mods cam, zost, remaping all organized allrdy.

just the debate auto or manual

manual is better BUT when you put the clutch in to shift gear it revs a bit, that can be annoying to some people.

Its up to you really anyway, i would recommend you drive a auto and manual and just see what you like the most.

Its about personal preference. It also depends on what you will be doing with it. For lots of peak hour driving or towing - get an auto. Country driving etc - I prefer a manual.

Manual gets my vote, but like others have said, its up to you, take a auto for a spin then a manual and see which one you prefer

iv got a stock auto vy ss, goes well, would go harder in manuel i know that, i went for an auto cause i do a lot of driving in traffic around peak times, other wise i would have got a manuel for sure, unless ur turning it into a 10 second tyre frying monster and doing alot of city traffic driving, id go the manuel, iv had a manuel v8 and now have an auto v8, id love a manuel again, but as i said i do alot of city type driving.

I drive mine in Sydney traffic everday, it's a manual and I wouldn't have anything else. A for the 1/4, a manual is quick too I have run 13.3, with the stock clutch and shifter. Fit a good clutch and a Rip Shifter. I ran against my mates 6L Auto Clubby and beat him by .5 of a second.

Personal preference thing really, I prefer the manual meself just because the box allows me flexibilty when I'm driving. Also because I've always liked to do my own maintainance so I can replace clutches and pull the box apart if I need to. An auto, apart from an oil change, would be going into the shop for any sort of work, so from that respect an auto would cost me some dollars to maintain. My old VR was an auto and it was good on a long run but around town I think I prefer the manual.

    Good choice!!

I have driven auto since L's, I'm going to buy a VY/VZ SS and manual is a definent choice after test driving both transmission. And SS manuals are very smooth and comfortable aswell.
