Default CD Wont enter

Hi all,
I got COMMODORE EXEC VY
CD player was working fine until few days back i tried to insert the CD and it wont enter. I thought there was a CD already in. Pushed the eject button but nothing came out. Then I tried switching from FM to CD and it gave me a message 'CD ERROR'.
I tried to investigate the problem and found two white rods blocking the CD entry in side the unit.

Looks like some kind of security measure or some thing like that. BUT radio FM/AM is working fine. Can any one tell me how to fix this.
I tried to remove the head unit with hangers, but didnt work for me. Does any one know where to get the removing tools.

repco or bursons sell the tools, all you need to do is remove the unit for a few seconds & when you put it back in push the eject button first thing, it should eject. if its a burnt disc try not to use them as these units are not very tolerant to some burnt discs.

Cheers Rob

Could try pulling the fuse for about 20 seconds, same as removing the unit and you don't need to buy a removal tool

But I still need the removal tool as I want to mod the CD player to play mp3.

Apparently coat hangers bent in a 'U' shape to the right spacing and notches near the ends does the job nicely. I think Phreddy has instructions for making these are on his ASR web sight.
