Default Flushing the system out

Hey All,

Had he car serviced the other day with Holden asking me the usual questions of do you want your power steering flushed or the injectors cleaned etc. on top of the normal service
This then got me thinking if anybody has done this themselves to save a bit of cash and if so how is it done?
Does there cleaning of the injectors make much difference?
Even though every couple of months i throw a bottle of wynn's injector cleaner into the petrol tank.
Last but not least i've noticed a burnt rubber smell after i've gotten out of the car.
Any thoughts

Cheers for the help

Here in NZ, that's all they do when you go for that option anyway! Don't know about Oz. As far as the service agents are concerned, why spend a couple of hours pulling the injectors out, putting them on the proper equipment and flushing them when you can throw a bottle of cleaner in the tank? That only takes 30 seconds

because the magical bottle of "injector cleaner" is no where as near as effective as pulling the injectors out and putting them in the ultrasonic bath and the bottled stuff dosnt clean the internal filters of the injectors aswell.....

buy the time u pay for them to be pulled out and cleaned you could probably almost go an buy a set of new ones from either holden or a reputal bosch supplier, just match the part number on the injectors to the same brand but through bursons or a bosch supplier.
