Default Easiest "Accessories" line to tap off on a VYIIa

    Hi all.

New here, but I've tried searching, without much luck. Anyway, its not a big question.

I have a VYII "S" that I would like to hook up an amp and sub to. I am going to be using a high/low converter and get the amplifier to receive its feed from the rear speakers. I really don't want to rip my stock stereo apart and mod it!

I can easily run the power cables for my Amp, the only problem for me is the "Remote" Line. I am assuming that the blaupunkt has no external amps attached, and therefore wouldn't need a remote out connector. Therefore, I will be using a point which is active (ie, 12V present) when the car is on, and turns off when the car is off.

I have also read about the phone loom, and this may be an easier point to get an accessories line if one is available.

Anyone know the best way around this?

Ok, time for another stupid question! (Only just bought the car, and am finally picking it up tomorrow). Whereabouts is the cigarette lighter socket located, I've looked at a few pictures on the net, and can not find it!!!! Just trying to work out what I have to pull apart in my dash. (I'm trying to refrain from pulling the dash apart as much as possible).
