Default question* How to reach high power n/a?

Hey guys im wondering how id be able to achieve around 170rwkw n/a in my V6 exec. My brother just achieved 160rwkw with intake, exhaust and 98 octane tune. Im hoping to beat him, and just trying to get some rough figures for some relatively easy mods.

    Your Brother has 160rwkw??????

Has to be V8!!! You will generally get anywhere up to or around 140rwkw with a tune and bolt ons, any more would need forced induction!!

maybe he has 160 at the Flywheel=160fwkw..................

To be honest, I would love to see it and also love evryone that has been bagging out V6's in the past few months to see it!!

Is his tune from Powerchip? I have done all I can in the way of bolt on's, and ended up with 134rwkw, 160 would be very very nice to say the least!!

There is no way in hell it would be 160rwkw with those mods. Simple.
Do you have a copy of the dyno printout? I would like to see the AT compared with IT.............

    Default Xr6.....

Well, Yeh Believable, however they dont deliver the goods that well!!

For you to beat him on the Road, you would only need 140rwkw or there abouts!!

A stock XR6T has 175rwkw and they only pull a car length over 200mtres on me with just over 130rwkw.........

You will never beat him on the rollers with just those mod's!!

Yeh $1200 for Diff Gears, I should have included the fact that at that price you will get a complete reco diff with LSD and 3.9 Gears, as the Exec do not have LSD... Diff gears only, prob about $500 or so.....

    Default Cai...

Hi Mate, As I said on PM, Here are pic's for you.
Just a piece of 5" plastic hose, about 200mm, 2 Elbows and four hose clamps for the rubber sleeves and you are away, I used a 5" hole saw for the air box, and then sealed it up with sensor safe silicone, and while doing that I sealed up the factory CAI with it as well, I cut a small section out of the plastic deflector under the car to allow for Air to enter Elbow, and Fixed it Via a self drilling/Tapping screw into the Radiator support Panel. as easy as that, about 2 hours all up. Anywhere above 60kmh and your imagination would be saying that the Air would be getting almost forced into the engine instead of it having to suck for it!!

Yes you do get a bit of crap inside the air box with this set up, but I make it a Sunday ritual to take out my filter and blow it out with compressed air, The picture shown is the inside of the box after 1 month without cleaning it, so it's not too bad, I do not consider putting a piece of mesh over air pick up, as it will be restrictive and defeat the purpose of the whole mod.... I also sprayed a small amount of Pure and Simple/cooking spray onto the inside top of the Air box, Past the filter, to see if any sand dirt etc was getting past the filter, and to my surprise, the oil stayed clean and nothing was stuck to it.....

    Cheers, Chrisso.

Or you could buy a SS induction kit, though it will cost alot more than Chrisso set up, though you want have to worry about dirt etc getting into your air box
