Default Funny Clunk coming from down under

    Hey there all,

I have a funny type of clunk coming from my right hand front wheel area when I'm driving along. It's got worse over the last couple of weeks now and I have not had the time to get in to Pedders for a check.

Any idea what it would be?

I can shake the car left to right and you can hear it every time the right side of the car goes down.

I have super low King springs in their at the moment.

Could it be a worn out shock or a worn out bush do you think?

Going to try and make it to Pedders before Christmas at least.....

    Thanks in advance guys.

thats or a possible wheel bearing, had that same thing in my vr and it was a wheel bearing on the l/h side though, but when u turn yours to the left does the noise go away and then gets greater when you turn to the right?

Check the nut on the strut. If that is a bit loose, the mount moves up and down and will clunk.

I have exactly the same sound under the front driver side that has just started happening in the last few weeks. It mainly does it on sharp turning when driving slow. (Doing a U turn or such)

G day fellas, i had that clunking sound in the vx, and the cause was the 2 braces that are attached the chassis rail & firewall , i just put a 13mm spanner to them to tighten & no more noise. So give that a go it might be your problem as well. Cheers.
