    Default What wheels are these?

Here;s where I could use some help. I purchased these wheels brand new last week from my local Holden dealer, who stocks HSV and Holden models. The spares department often has full sets of brand new rims in stock and these were advertised as VY Calais. Obviously, that's not what they are, but what are they from?

Rim size is 17 x 8", part number is shown on the second photo. According to the parts catalogue, the part number is the same as the VY II Calais, but when the list was checked further, it was found that the correct Calais rim had the same part number.

So, can anybody help? I thought they might be HBD rims, but can't find an old HBD catalogue to check.

    Over to you experts.

    Regards

    Hi Maginoodle

Never heard of photobucket - doubt it's on this pc.

Anybody else have trouble posting - I'm wondering if the images are too large.

    Default Many thanks

Thanks guys, that certainly answers my question. I now have three points to make:

    1. I only paid $565 for the full set of four brand new rims in their boxes. Sort of makes them a bargain when they are normally $330 each.
    2. They can't have been optioned very often - has anybody ever seen them on a VY Calais (or anything else for that matter?)
    3. They are listed as being dearer than VY II Calais rims. I know which ones I prefer!

    Regards

Fair enough Bill. As you live in South Aus, I reckon that might be why I haven't seen them. That car must be one of very few around. Guess mine will be too, soon.
