As long as they are prep'd right and the right paints used there shouldnt be a problem.
They arent that flexible..
Hey quick question, i tried to undo the bolt on the bottom of the shocks on the rear of my vy so i could drop the contol arm but couldnt get it undone. what is the best way to get it undone?
i finally got it undone as wel as all the support arms but it still will not drop enough for the spring to come out. The only thing stopping it from dropping any further is the driveshaft, do i need to undo this as well? and yes i have been suporting the arm with a jack as i have been dropping it.
you are taking out the stock rear springs?
using compressors?
It was a bastard of a job when we did mine.. I wont say how we did it cos people will cringe![]()

Niiice.
I want to lower my ss guys, i posted a while ago in this thread about it. I need the suspension to be adjustable in height (as i need to fit snow chains when i go to the snow). I want it to sit nice and low though, like king spring super low. What are my options.. just coilovers? What about adjustable shocks, like konis or something... how do they work? Do they adjust height or just stiffness? Will they allow me to adjust the height as much as coilovers?
Thanks guys!
Anyone have pictures of an SS sedan lowered? How low did you drop from stock FE2?
19 inch sabres
lowered by bob jane with king springs super low doubles all round
prob will need new shocks soon the factory ones are starting to crap themselves
hey guys,
some awesome work done here. just 2 questions tho, normaly tow a jet skii, but thinking about going for superlows in the VY.
question 1) does lowing pose a problem when towing a light skii ie. how much does the arse end tend to sag?
question 2) anyone had 'fun' going up and down a boat ramp, last thing i wana hear is 'SSSCCRRRREEEEECCCCCCCCCHHHHH'
cheers guys for any resposes
