Difference between SS Series 1 & 2 Tail lights?

Hey guys, i have heard there is a slight difference between VY SS Series 1 & 2 tail lights. Do you know what it is?

I have attached a picture of a VY SS tail light i have just purchased. Want to find out what series it is in order to source a match.

go to carsales and have a look at all the series ones and then the series twos. will hopefully work

I can tell you that they look exactly the same as my S1 tail lights.

I'm 90% sure that I read here somewhere that the tail lights themselves are the same but the plug on the back is slightly different. Have you tried doing a search?

*EDIT* I've just been searching. I was thinking of the difference between VY and VZ. It seems VY1 and VY2 SS tail lights are identical.

haha sweet. seems like i've been misinformed.

If the plug on the back is different between VY and VZ, do you think i'll need a VY loom to hook them up to my VZ?

I pretty sure you do, there was a thread on this not long ago scroll down a little and you should find it.

EDIT: 2 threads down! VZ SS Tail lights onto a VY - I just did it :D should be the same principal but in reverse

hehe yeah that was my thred, yup yup - if you're going vy to vz or vice versa the looms need to be changed, if you're going sI to sII no need.
