I'm a bit confused on the 2 hole air-box mod. Do you just cut a hole in the air-box and leave it or do you have to put some pipping in to supply air?
I want to do this to my VYII ecotec but I'm not exactly sure on what I need and how to do it. I have seen the tutorials out there but some say use pipping some don't mention it.
Any help is great.

im lazy and just cut a hole with a hole saw and didnt use piping. but im a lucky one with a factory mcai so i dunno how much difference that makes. i say just make sure that it lines up right with the holes and ya ok. but if your motivated i would use a pipe. its a bit extra effort but i think it would add to looks and functionality
thanks for the advice.
Does it help fuel wise and I've heard some people saying that it makes the car have a good induction growl while some are saying no difference what so ever. Did you get a good sound?

havnt noticed fuel yet. but did notice the induction noise. i would cut the hole just for the sound. does seem to go a little better at higher rpm's but that could just be me
i've just done the mod with my VY and put a K&N panel filter in at the same time and i havent really noticed any difference with fuel but i think there has been a slight responce improvement down low but it does feel like it responds a lot better at higher RPM (3k onwarks) i have to say maybe the slightest bit of induction noise but very slight. not like the ecotec with a pod.
