in my vn i know the rear doors dont light up if the child lock is on. maybe its the same in the vy? or else you could have a bad connection on the switches - door or centre console

From the factory they have globes in them, I do install LEDs when I'm doing colour conversions.

Note that the back door switches WON'T light up when the "kiddie lock" is activated, but when it isn't they certainly should - as Stocky pointed out above. (and yes that does carry through to the VY/VZ) Most likely blown globe(s), but don't try to get them from Holden - they want to sell you the complete switch....

just checked the child lock and it was off so my globe must be blown, how annoying! i really dont want to spend the money to get it fix, think ill just leave it, not a big deal anyway. If i was to try to fix it myself is it just a matter of removing door trim and getting to the globe to replace it? is it a fiderly job?

Heh - it actually involves pulling the switch apart after you get it out of the trim. It's fiddly to say the least!
