Default Drive belt noise after new pulleys

Just a quick question. Ive changed the 3 pulleys well 2 had to put 1 back on as the guy give me a different sized one. Ive had to spray the belt 2x as it makes a squealing sound the belts on properly could it be because of the new pulleys ? or have i done something wrong some how. Its the 2 tensioners and 1 idler

my MRS car did that after it come back from the machanics last time..

It was just a loose belt... does it do that all the time? or just at certain times like when you turn it on?

hN,
if its a belt squeal i have 2 tricks of mine which rarely fail. 1st one is quick and easy but u have to be careful. Everybody will tell u to lube it spray it and god knows wot else, very simple using the longest stretch of the belt between pulleys just gently rub the coarsest bit of sandpaper u have on the ribbed side of the belt (be careful thats why i say longest stretch between pulleys) for about 2-3 seconds basically all ur trying to do is curl the belt at each side. this should work for both accessory and supercharger belt
If this does not work swap the direction of the belts in other words if u can read the part no. on the belt turn it round so ur reading the part no.s backwards let me know how u go

Some squeeking can be normal if the belts have just been changed, as they take a little while to break in. What you can try doing is getting a hose and spraying water onto the belts while they are moving, and see if that fixes thet problem temporarily. If so, the belts could use come lubing or they may be a bit lose and may be slipping.

make sure the belt is located on the pulleys properly, ie all the grooves line up and the belt isnt sitting to one side

If the noise wasn't there before you changed the pulleys, the chances are you have reversed the belt direction after refitting it.Remove it and turn it around and try that before you do anything.
