    Default How do you change Ignition Leads

    can anybody please have photos of how to actually change these over. is there a link to it already described on how to do it?? my car chugs and i think it is the leads.
    what leads would anybody recomend for my VX??

    Not hard on a v6, you should be glad your not doing it on a 5ltr.

    Buy a set of leads, Most ppl tend to go with TOP GUN leads around here, or if you just want stock like ones just go to repco or wherever and ask for em, they will prob give ya champions.

    Only do 1 lead at a time other wise you will get confused and could stuff up.
    Take one lead off, find the new lead that is the same length... replace it
    Repeat that til they are all done.

    there is a spot on the VG where you have to take somoething out before you can get the lead through...
    could you just push and pull it to get it through??

    with the drivers side leads dont u have to take of the alternator as the leads run under it... havnt done this to the vy yet but my mate with a wh said thats what he had to do

    I don't know about VX, i.e. how much gap below the alternator. I did it on my VY, and pulling the leads on the drivers side, seemed daunting so i just took out the alternator and it was very easy from there.
