VY Handbrake Adjustment

The handbrake in my VY S pack ute needs tightening, but I can't find how to do it on these. I know my VS and Kingswood where simply a matter of tightening the cable, but I can't see any cable adjustment on this one. I've seen elsewhere people emntion that they can be tightened in-cab on the lever as well as on the brake unit, but if anyone has any further info on this it would be much appreciated!!

Hey mate,

There is an in car adjustment for the handbrake cable in the VY. Just move the drivers seat right back and at the bottom of the hand brake leaver you just lift the plastic surround and you will see the adjustment nut.

thanks fot that, this was on my to do list for the mechanic for its next service but just had a look and fixed it myself. i havent really had a hand brake in the vy since i bought it been reallt picky where i park it. no probs now

That nut will only adjust the cable, not the actual handbrake shoes. In your other thread I explained how to do it.
